OUR ABOUT US

We Believe in Transforming Communities Through the Local Church

Tubepoka Development Initiative (TDI) is a Christian, community-driven organization registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act, CONGOMA, and the Non-Governmental Organizations Regulatory Authority (NGORA) of Malawi. We exist to restore dignity, promote sustainable development, and empower vulnerable communities using a church-centered model that strengthens both spiritual and social transformation. TDI works with over 519 local churches across Chitipa and Karonga districts—uniting diverse denominations into a single movement of change, hope, and service.
TDI recognizes the church as the foundation of moral and community life. Our development approach ensures that churches become catalysts for change—addressing poverty, hunger, WASH challenges, social injustice, and climate shocks.

OUR DEVELOPMENT APPROACH

Transformational Journey Curriculum
Equips churches to understand their biblical mandate and develop a shared vision for transforming the communities they serve.

Assets-Based Community Development (ABCD)

Empowers communities to unlock their own potential and resources, reinforcing that transformation begins with what people already have.

Restore Curriculum

Encourages churches to repair the four broken relationships—with God, self, others, and the environment—and become agents of restoration.
